Decision Making in Networks: A Model of Awareness Raising

چکیده

This work investigates how interpersonal interactions among individuals could affect the dynamics of awareness raising. Even though previous studies on mathematical models in decision making context demonstrate level results from self-observation impinged by optimal selections and external uncertainties, an explicit accounting interaction is missing. Here we introduce for first time a theoretical framework to evaluate effect individual exerted with neighbor agents. task performed embedding single agent model into graph allowing different agents interact means suitable coupling functions. The presence network allows, global point view, emergence diffusion mechanisms which population tends reach homogeneous attractors, and, them, one highest awareness. structural behavioral patterns, such as initial levels relative importance assigns their own state respect others’, may drive real actors stress effective actions increasing

Raising Risk Awareness on the Adoption of Web 2.0 Technologies in Decision Making Processes

In the recent past, the so-called “Web 2.0” became a powerful tool for decision making processes. Politicians and managers, seeking to improve participation, embraced this technology as if it simply were a new, enhanced version of the World Wide Web, better suited to retrieve information, opinions and feedbacks from the general public on subjects like laws, acts and policies. This approach was ...

A Model of Team Decision Making Using Situation Awareness

In order for agents to successfully make decisions about task allocations within a team, two elements are essential: (1) a good judgement of the situation and (2) once the situation is known have a good decision making process to derive and assign tasks that should be performed. Within research on agent systems, little work has been done on the combination of the two. In this paper, a human-bas...

Computational modeling of dynamic decision making using connectionist networks

In this research connectionist modeling of decision making has been presented. Important areas for decision making in the brain are thalamus, prefrontal cortex and Amygdala. Connectionist modeling with 3 parts representative for these 3 areas is made based the result of Iowa Gambling Task. In many researches Iowa Gambling Task is used to study emotional decision making. In these kind of decisio...

House of Improvement Model to Enhance Prioritisation of Solutions in Decision Making: a Case Study

The decision making on selection of improvement solutions was one of the obstacles hampering the success of process improvement. This paper presents the House of Improvement (HOI) model as a guideline to link decision criteria for the prioritisation of improvement solutions. Three phases in the HOI are applied to facilitate selection and to ensure that suitable and value-added solutions are cho...
